On the northwestern and northeastern slopes of the Kozara and Prosara Mountains respectively there are flat plains intersected with hilly terrain of the Municipality of Kozarska Dubica. The Mulicipality covers on area of 499 sq.km, with the average height not exceeding 220 m.a.s.l. Geographically, this land is a part of the Pannonian Basin and it has a temperate continental climate. The municipality has a population of more than 23000 inhabitants.
